Before joining Solis, Hassan was a consultant with a London based marine consultancy, investigating a variety of hull and machinery damages and claims including the provision of expert reports and opinion for litigation.

Hassan has given expert evidence in Arbitration hearings.

He brings many years’ experience as Chief Engineer, gained on vessel types including, general cargo, bulk carriers and tankers. He was also a Senior Surveyor and Senior Consultant at Lloyds in London.

At Lloyds, Hassan was responsible for ship condition assessment surveys on oil, product, chemical, LPG and LNG tankers for energy efficiency and the maintenance optimisation assessment of existing tonnage and new builds.

He has carried out approval of machinery systems for new and existing ships of all types and was also responsible for industrial, marine and offshore structure surveys and the training of surveyors.
